The Duchy is a handsome Georgian townhouse with an amazing history. For the last 100 years it was the Offices of the Duchy of Cornwall in Bath, where Prince Charles stayed on his many visits to this magical little city. The present owners purchased the townhouse from the Duchy just a few years ago and carefully restored it to its present elegant state.
This historic townhouse is located just off Great Pulteney Street, one of the most famous streets of Bath, and is only a short stroll from the Roman Baths, the Bath Abbey, and all the many excellent restaurants and cafés that Bath is known for.
The Duchy offers both flexibility and splendour for whatever occasion you may be planning for your visit to Bath, for it boasts both a magnificent Drawing Room with its lovely “Withdrawing Room”, and a formal dining room and garden, providing a fabulous amount of space for entertaining.
The stunning and perfectly equipped Kitchen is on the lower ground floor and leads into the Formal Dining Room, which in turn opens onto a real Georgian Garden, with water-lillie padded pools and lovely shrubs and flowering plants surrounding a perfect outdoor dining area.
Spread over 5 gracious floors, this splendid house has 7 spacious and beautifully decorated bedrooms and has been arranged to sleep up to 16 persons comfortably. There are two full bathrooms, a delightful shower room and one pretty cloack room.
All the rooms have glorious windows with delightful views and are exquisitely decorated in keeping with the grandeur and period of the house. The Georgian Garden is a particularly fine feature and offers a welcome respite on those fine Bath afternoons after a day filled with museums and shopping.
Everything you could possibly require will be in the house, from TV, DVD and WIFI, to lovely linens and towels. Specialty teas and coffees, as well as milk and cookies and other special treats are waiting for you upon your arrival.
The Duchy is a fabulous and unique residence in the very centre of Bath with the Thermae Bath Spa as well as the Roman Baths just a short stroll away.

RESERVATION AND CANCELLATION POLICY:
DEPOSIT: We will be requiring a deposit of £500 to from your credit or debit card to confirm your booking. This deposit will also act as the damage deposit to be refunded after your departure.
YOUR BALANCE will remain the same to be taken on your day of arrival. We can take this from your credit or debit card also.
YOUR DEPOSIT will be refunded within the week of your departure (usually within 48 hours).
In the unhappy event that you must cancel after you have paid your deposit, we will make every effort to rebook the property. If the property is rebooked, your deposit will be returned, less the £100 Administration Fee.
However, if the property remains unbooked, you will forfeit your deposit. It is advisable that you consider holiday insurance to cover this possibility.
YOUR FULL BALANCE will be taken 2 months or 60 days before your arrival date. We will send you another Confirmation at that point to let you know we have taken your balance and to touch base with your arrival plans.
NOTE: Please, remember that it is you who will be responsible for the condition of the property when you depart. Make everyone in your party aware of this, and remind them all to be respectful of this splendid home and to leave it in the fine condition in which they found it.
RATES:
Rates vary for the time of year and the length of stay as well as number of persons, but always include all taxes and utilities.
There is a two night minimum stay on weekends with a 3 night minimum stay on holiday weekends.
Rates for up to 8 persons - £650 to £950 per night
Rates for up to 10 persons - £750 to £1050 per night
Rates for up to 12 persons - £850 to £ 1150 per night
Rates for up to 14 persons- £1050 to £1200 per night
Rates for up to 16 persons £1150 to £1250 per night
Children are Welcome as long as they and their parents are well behaved.
